BETTA CARE SHEET
NEVER use untreated tap water to fill up your Betta’s home. Spring water is fine in a pinch, but tap water treated with prime water conditioner, sitting at room temperature overnight, is best. Never use distilled water. Fill his bowl about an inch from the top to prevent him from jumping out
Feed your Betta 2 to 3 pellets a day at most. This is all he needs to stay healthy. He will eat as much as you feed him but this will cause his water to become polluted quickly and that will cause him to get sick.
Change half of his water every one to two weeks, depending on water clarity. Once every 3 to six months remove your fish and half of the water from the bowl into a separate, soap free container. Use a paper towel or AQUARIUM sponge to wipe out the bowl and stir up the gravel to remove the dirt trapped in it and then empty the dirty water. Next put your fish back in the bowl with the saved water and fill the bowl with the replacement water you have sitting out. This will help keep you pet Betta healthy and happy.
Place your Betta in a warmer room but not in a window or near heat vents. Consistent temperature is best.
